J. Jill Qualls Baxter
J. Jill Qualls Baxter has been serving clients throughout Middle Tennessee since establishing her private practice in Franklin in 2001. With more than two decades of legal experience and a strong foundation in accounting, she provides knowledgeable and practical representation in Family Law and Probate matters.
Mrs. Baxter earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tennessee in 1991 and began her career as an auditor with the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office, where she worked in the County Government Division. While pursuing her legal education at the Nashville School of Law, she served as a Deputy Clerk and Head Bookkeeper in the Williamson County Clerk and Master’s Office, gaining valuable experience in both financial and court administration. She received her Juris Doctor in 2000.
Mrs. Baxter’s accounting background provides a distinct advantage in complex divorce cases involving business ownership, high-income earners, property division, and other significant financial issues. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate difficult legal matters with professionalism, compassion, and practical solutions tailored to their unique circumstances.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Baxter has been a member of the Williamson County, Sumner County, and Davidson County Bar Associations and has participated in the John Marshall Inns of Court.
Outside the office, Mrs. Baxter enjoys spending time with her husband and children and has long supported their involvement in athletics. She is also an active member of Hermitage United Methodist Church.
